I’ve seen better – but worse too
The beds were good and the staff was incredibly kind, especially during mealtime. The churros at breakfast were DELICIOUS! !
The pools were often overcrowded, making it hard to relax and enjoy a swim. Food quality varied, lacking hot options on busy days.

missingWrote a review on 01 Juloutdoor terraceeffective air conditioningsunbathing opportunitiespoor soundproofing
The outdoor terrace offers a decent sunbathing area, although access routes are a bit roundabout. Air conditioning does a solid job keeping the rooms cool, making it bearable during the heat.
Soundproofing in the newer section leaves something to be desired, often making it hard to escape the noise from neighboring rooms and the outdoors. The walk to access the building feels unnecessarily convoluted, as you must go around outside to get to your room. Breakfast consistently lacks variety, with repetitive offerings like eggs and chorizo every day and limited options for vegetarians. Dinner meals often aren't hot when served and run out quickly with a busy crowd, indicating the kitchen struggles under heavy demand. The overall presentation of dining areas is also disappointing, with lesser options like snacks being served cold and under heat lamps for extended periods.

The stay at Maria was quite a mixed bag. The location was fantastic, right in the center of nightlife, so plenty of bars and restaurants just a short walk away. The room, a Superior Double or Twin Room, had decent beds and was clean, but the soundproofing really let it down. I could hear every late-night party outside. The breakfast was repetitive, mostly eggs and chorizo, with the same spread daily. Dinner options didn’t seem appealing either, meals weren’t always hot and some choices ran out quickly. The outdoor space was a plus, but the pools needed some attention. there were broken tiles that could cut your feet. The staff was friendly, which helped make the stay more pleasant, especially the restaurant team. there were moments of confusion when the bar wasn't open for all-inclusive drinks until later in the day. It was annoying when you just wanted a quick refreshment. the hotel was okay for a short trip, but I wouldn’t recommend it for families looking for a quieter retreat.
